Plasma Facility Could Power Port Hope

Plasma Facility ConceptA proposed Energy-from-Waste Gasification Power Plant, the first of its' kind in Canada, will soon be calling Port Hope home. 

Sunbay Energy presented to Municipality of Port Hope Council on April 15, 2008.  The new facility is expected to generate enough power to service over 20,000 homes - or the entire Municipality of Port Hope and more.  At full capacity the facility will manage up to 400 tonnes of solid municipal waste per day which in turn will generate over 25 megawatts of power.  Click here to read more.
